Air Filtration

Triton HVAC is Colorado Springs’ Air Filtration specialist. There are many different methods available to filter the air in your home. All of them require a method that moves unfiltered, standing air through a filtration system which then sends the cleaned air back into your home. These types of filters work best in a central HVAC system / forced air furnace, essentially any central HVAC system that relies on ductwork to distribute air throughout the home.

There are several different filtration systems that can be employed in a home or commercial HVAC system, starting with basic paper filters that remove particulates from the air. These basic filters need to be changed every 30 days. More advanced filters are also available that can last up to 3 months, depending on how often you run your HVAC system. These filters are made from more complex materials including cellulose, glass wool, and even glass fiber and are able to trap smaller and finer particulates
including mold spores and pet dander, in addition to dust particles and even dust mites. Finally, the most advanced particulate traps are High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters that can utilize nanotechnology to trap the smallest particles. HEPA filters are extremely helpful in environments where there are multiple people, pets, etc. or where some of those individuals may have respiratory problems.

Every environment and situation is unique. You might need to take the next step and go beyond filtration, and into Air Purification. Triton HVAC will examine your environment and make the best recommendations based upon your actual needs.
